These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of https://academics.zamal.org, operated by Zamal Academics ("we," "us," "our," or the "Company"). By using our site — whether to look for a tutor, register as a tutor, or browse our content — you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

1. What we offer

Zamal Academics is a tutoring platform that helps parents and students find tutors for home tutoring, online tutoring, language courses, exam and curriculum-specific test preparation, and related educational services. We maintain a directory of tutors, review tutor applications, and facilitate introductions between tutors and families. We are not a school and do not employ tutors as staff unless we separately and explicitly say so.

2. Who can use our site

• Parents and guardians may submit enquiries and browse our site on behalf of themselves or their children.
• Students may browse our site, but any account, enquiry, or engagement of a tutor on behalf of a minor must be made or authorized by a parent or guardian.
• Tutor applicants must be legally permitted to work in the jurisdiction where they intend to teach, and must provide accurate information during registration.

3. Enquiries and matching

Submitting an enquiry through our site is a request to be matched with a suitable tutor — it is not a binding commitment to engage any specific tutor, and it does not itself create a contract between you and the Company. Once we introduce you to a tutor, the specific arrangements for tutoring sessions — including fees, schedule, and format — are agreed directly between you and the tutor, unless we've explicitly stated otherwise for a particular service. The terms that apply once sessions begin — including our trial class and satisfaction guarantee — are set out in our Service Agreement.

4. Tutor registration and verification

• Tutor applicants must complete our onboarding process, including submitting identification, educational qualifications, teaching experience, and references.
• We review applications and verify references and credentials as part of our approval process. We may approve, reject, request changes to, or ask an applicant to resubmit an application at our discretion.
• Approved tutors are required to pay a registration fee, currently PKR 2,500, to be listed on our platform. This fee covers our verification and listing process and is non-refundable once your application has been approved, except where required by law. (Editor's note: keep this figure in sync with Site Configuration's Tutor Registration Fee if it changes.)
• Submitting false information, a fraudulent payment, or a misrepresented credential is a violation of these Terms and grounds for immediate removal from our platform.
• We reserve the right to suspend or remove any tutor's listing at any time, including after approval, if we become aware of information suggesting a listing should not remain public.

5. Your responsibilities

When using our site, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current information about yourself, your child, or (for tutors) your qualifications and background;
• Use contact details you obtain through our site — including tutors' or families' phone numbers or emails — only for the purpose of arranging tutoring, not for unrelated marketing or spam;
• Not attempt to scrape, copy, or republish our tutor directory or academic content without permission; and
• Not use the site in any way that is unlawful, harassing, or that could damage, disable, or impair the site.

6. Content and intellectual property

The text, design, logos, and academic content on this site belong to Zamal Academics or our licensors, unless otherwise noted. You may view and share our public pages for personal, non-commercial use, but you may not reproduce or redistribute them for commercial purposes without our written permission.

7. Our role and disclaimers

We take reasonable steps to verify tutor applications — including identification, references, and stated qualifications — before approving a listing. However, we cannot guarantee the ongoing conduct, teaching quality, or outcomes of any tutor, and we encourage parents and students to exercise their own judgment, ask questions, and supervise arrangements appropriately, particularly for sessions involving minors. Our site and its content are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Zamal Academics is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, your engagement with a tutor or family you were introduced to, or any dispute between a tutor and a family. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site is limited to the amount, if any, you paid to us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the site or remove your listing if you violate these Terms, provide false information, or engage in conduct we reasonably believe is harmful to other users or to the Company. You may stop using the site, or ask us to close your account, at any time.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and any dispute arising from them will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Valencia Town, Lahore, Pakistan, unless applicable local law requires otherwise for users in your country.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
